Landscape maintenance and annual flowers in Vancouver, Camas, and other cities in Washington.
We keep your landscape beds looking beautiful and well-maintained throughout the year.
When you've spent time and money installing new landscape beds, you need to make sure you invest in their upkeep as well. This includes routine trimming, pruning, mulch installation, and much more to ensure your beds stay looking beautiful and well-maintained.
At EnviroPro Land, we provide these landscape maintenance tasks throughout the year to homes and businesses in Camas, Vancouver, Washougal, and other nearby cities in Washington.
Mulch installation protects your landscaping and gives it a finished look.
By installing mulch, you are protecting your landscape plants and soil, as well as giving the bed a finished look and appearance. Mulch or bark dust protects landscaping in the following ways:
- Mulch prevents soil erosion.
- A proper layer of ground cover insulates the soil and regulates the temperature.
- Mulch also stops water from evaporating which gives the plants an opportunity to absorb the water.
- Mulch blocks weeds from growing—we can also provide landscape bed weed control services during the year.
We recommend that mulch or bark dust be replenished annually to get the most benefits from it. In our area, there are several popular types of mulch including hemlock, cedar chips, red and chocolate dyed mulch, and bark nuggets. Occasionally, we will also install pine straw. Our crews are equipped with mulch blowers and can also put mulch in by hand.
How to Calculate Mulch
Length x Width = total sq. ft. of area
Total sq. ft. of area (divided) by how deep you want to apply
- divide by: 160 = 2" deep
- divide by: 120 = 3" deep
- divide by: 80 = 4" deep
Fact: 27 cubic feet = 1 Yard
Mulch is sold in 2 cu. ft. bags. 14 bags = 1 cu. Yard
Example: If the Calculator says you require 5 yards of mulch, you will need 70 (2 cubic ft.) bags.
5 (cu. yards) X 14 (bags per yard) = 70 total bags!
We always install mulch or bark dust ground cover at a thickness of 2-3 inches.
Routine trimming and pruning help to shape your plants, shrubs, hedges, and small trees.
We will trim and prune your landscape plants at least twice a year. Generally, we start by trimming in late winter unless the plants are spring bloomers. For plants that bloom in the summer, we often trim or prune in the fall. We can provide trimming as well as hand pruning for shrubs, hedges, small trees, and other landscape plants. Trimming and pruning services help to shape your plants and remove any dead or dying branches.
Add annual flowers and seasonal color to your landscape beds.
We can install both warm-season and cool-season annual flowers to provide a boost of seasonal color in your landscaping. Warm-season annuals will typically bloom from spring through summer, while cool-season will provide color from fall through winter depending on the weather.
Annuals bloom for longer periods of time than perennials do and often provide a brighter color. Popular annuals in our area of Washington include:
- And many more!
